Solar Rural Electrification to combat Rural Exodus (Danida)

Refrigeration systems

These systems were installed in the three core villages of Tabakoro, Zambala and Niamala due to requests made by the villages. The systems allow for storage of medicines and vaccines which require low temperatures to be effective, including snakebite anti-venom. In the hot season, ambient temperatures of up to 45 degrees can damage many medicines.
