Solar-wind hybrid water pumping (GEF Small Grants Program)

Opening ceremony of project attended by PPS/FEM coordinator for Mali

The village of Karangana, beneficiary of the solar wind hybrid pumping project, put on a very warm welcome for the PPS/FEM coordinator in Mali, members of Mali-Folkecenter, InterCooperation and JEKASY, as well as representatives from the local administration. The project has a high priority for the village, as it will provide water for animals and for gardening - both productive activities which can improve local livelihoods, on a sustainable basis. This can be seen in the photos below.
