MFC attended the Malian National Energy Week, December 2004, along with many other actors from the government, civil society and private sector. The event was an effort of the Ministry of Energy to raise the profile of energy in the national conciousness by focusing attention on energy issues during one week.

MFC's stand featured banners with the messages "Jatropha oil - energy independence for Sahel countries" and "Clean energy for sustainable development". There was plenty of equipment on display to demonstrate how today's clean energy technologies are ready to provide sustainable energy solutions. 

Several inisters attended the event, including of course, the Minister of Energy, his excellence Hamed Diane Semega.

MFC staff were interviewed on ORTM natonal television to explain MFC's energy work, specifically in promotion of jatropha technology and wind energy.
